I've been a bit more hands-on in recruiting lately. No portal, straight to email. I'd say 20% don't add CV/portfolio, just a few lines and add they can send it if interested. Probably 2 out of 5 don't have their name in the file names. At least a few have gotten my name wrong. Many haven't cleaned their ChatGPTisms. This isn't a very cool employer, but a mid-to-senior position in a tough job market. Does this match your experience with applicants?

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

Hi fishes, in a dilemma....switched to a Big4 from MNC(almost 7 years of exp) in April 2020. The pay was normalised at 15.5LPA. Will get the package revised next month to 16.25 LPA. Now Deloitte has approached, so can I ask for 30%pay hike considering the switch will happen after completing almost 11-12 months in my current organization or can I ask for more than 30%, depending if I get a senior consultant or manager role? Also will the switch within a year have any negative impact?
