I’ve been a director of marketing for over a year almost 2 now and besides my 90 day review I haven’t had a review or a raise. I’m coming up my 2 years in November. I am currently making 65K as a director of marketing handling 7 offices, 400 clients, a team of 7 and my duties have expanded into growth, sales and recruitment.

Am I under paid? (If location matters it’s in person San Diego California) Industry is real estate

Hi all, I see a lot of posts here where one person is having quite a few offers and negotiating the salary based on the the best offer in hand.
1. On what grounds will the recruiter offer you a better pay. Will this not create a negative impression?

How do you deal with stub years who are exceptionally bad? I’m not talking about general cluelessness which is completely expected and understandable, but turning in work product riddled with incomprehensible, grammatically incorrect sentences that would fail middle school English. This is honestly the worst I’ve ever seen. Would you just avoid in the future or raise this with a partner? I don’t even know how to talk to this person about this…

A question from a youngster. Is working at a big big company with slightly low pay better or working at a much smaller company with higher pay better?

In the future, after a few years, let’s say I’m at a small company and want to switch to big big company, will the “small names” hurt my chance to get into the big doors?

I mean big big company is like 10x bigger than the small one if this was a factor. Assume everything else the same, WLB, commute, teams, etc.

I’m in a little of a pickle but a good one. Offer A. Established “start up” doing well financially and projected to hit profitability. 130k base. Stocks offered, unlimited PTO, and 70% Medical covered. Offer B. Is at a business much larger…90k salary with 10% bonus and generous stock offering. Titles are different which is why the pay is much different. I know some may think it is a no brainer but offer A allows me to grow the department ground up whereas offer B id be apart of to just different
