What are you an AD of? I assume since you are at Tinuiti it’s something performance related?
But is it execution based? If it is then you can get a role on the brand/client side where they are actually managing/executing performance campaigns. You will probably be a Manager level. It will be really large brands or DTC/ecomm, but DTC especially ones that are young do not have work life balance.
But some large brands still hire agency people even though they don’t manage the campaigns
themselves. Bc they want people to know how to execute so they can keep the agencies they hire in check.
There are tons of roles on LinkedIn. Just search for paid social, paid search, programmatic etc.
Since you have agency experience your qualities are you have execution experience and you know how agency people work and think and therefore you can keep them in check and fill in the gaps where they lack.
But on the brand side you will have to be even more data driven, even more tactical, really truly understand a brand, and also think more about testing from tactics to creative.
If not brand side, then there’s the platforms and publishers. Where you will make more money but there will be endless pressure to meet sales goals.
Good luck!
Yes that’s actually good too because a lot of brands are looking for people with that experience, not just measuring advertising and paid media but also outside of the ad industry.
I think anything that is data related regardless of the source/type, you can possibly work in. But you might have to start at a lower level to build up your knowledge and experience in that particular industry.
What I would try to really learn is data science, which is different from insights and analytics that you are doing now.
This will expand your skills and knowledge and also round it out.
If you want to stay in the ad industry, learn about media mix modeling, regression analysis, machine learning methodology, types of logic, statistical analysis, etc.

Some advice from somebody with 18 years of agency experience who hasn’t been able to make the leap no matter how hard I try, but has met with tons of recruiters and hiring managers and gotten a lot of feedback.
1. Brand side people aren’t impressed by agency experience, unless it’s an in-house agency. In that case I think experience and skillset is more transferable.
2. Get it done now while you’re still relatively junior. Moving over to a leadership role in an environment that’s drastically different than what you’re used to is a tougher sell.
3. Be willing to move. Brands tend to be a lot less flexible about remote / hybrid work styles. Doesn’t mean all of them are like that but many are.
4. Try to go through people you’ve worked with. This is true in any industry but getting a referral from somebody who knows and understands the environment will go a long way.
Good luck!
