Sorry OP. Though it doesn’t help your situation, know that you’re not alone.
HR departments instruct hiring managers never to give interview feedback to candidates though, b/c it opens the door for possible miscommunication and potential lawsuits.
Yes I am seeing that as well. It seems that companies are looking for people who already did the job previously vs. hiring for soft and hard skills and giving you a month to ramp up knowledge. This is ridiculous

Yep. “Creatives” have been dealing with this exact utter ridiculousness for 6 years now. Sorry it’s now your reality as well.

Been through the same thing for 14 months. I honestly think half the time nobody gets hired.
Same here! It is not fun!
I've been going through the same as a junior copywriter and it is terrible - wishing you all the best.
I recently made it to the final round of interviews for a position a recruiter contacted me about. I was exactly what they were looking for. I got rejected a week later and saw they posted the job on LinkedIn. I asked the recruiter and she said they wanted to try and see if they could get a candidate whose background was from the exact same niche industry the company was in.
Same has happened to me, multiple times now. I’ve honestly had a hard time continuing to apply to things.
Talking with acquaintances in recruitment, a lot of the last round decisions are coming down to things that aren’t in the job description, such as having worked with certain clients in the past, niche tech skills, or just plain chemistry.
None of which you really have control over.
