Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Look up the latest clothing trend & dress the part. Kiss a lot of ass. Claim that every newsworthy idea is something you’d already thought of but didn’t produce for reasons beyond your control. Stay up late only sort of working and then tell everyone how hard you worked the next day. Pretend to be interested in every buzz worthy piece of culture. Tell everyone you’ll work for pennies and that you’d really just rather be working than doing anything else. Find the person most in charge and always remember to look very creative around them.
I think that about does it?
Just write some ads you think are funny. That’s all there is to it
Ignore the bitter copywriter here and just follow the pun to doing what you love. I dunno what they’re on about.
First off, good luck! There are great "workshops" and "schools" in some cities that help you put a book together with spec work. If you are from the LA area check out TheBookshop, that is where a lot of folks get their books.
^I wish I was making any part of that up. That’s how a handful of juniors at one agency I was working at made their way up to the creative director positions they’re in now. I assure you that “hard work” was only a small part of their success.

Find 5 campaigns that suck and do them better. No easy stuff. No condom ads or butt creams. Do them funny, serious - whatever is right for the brand. Don’t be a one note writer. Be smart no matter what.
