When is WFH ending ?
Dear Fishes, I am in a conundrum currently. I have two offers. One from Deloitte USI (17.5 LPA fixed, 1.75 LPA variable and 1.5 L joining bonus). The other is from Infosys (25 LPA CTC. Permanent WFH. Negotiation is still on for this.)
Could you please be so kind as to help me decide which one to choose?
Thanks in advance,
Fellow Perplexed Fish.

I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google
Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Perception. As long as your work is good enough, you're still going to get good assignments. I wouldn't read much into it. Also wouldn't voluntarily give up a remote job in 2026. They are not easy to find.

Yeah, remote is to hard to give up. 1-2 day in the office would be ideal for me. But there’s no hybrid option. I’m starting to align with your insight naturally as well.
This is bound to happen, and some downsides of being remote that you have to end up accepting. People in person have better opportunities to interact and build social relationships and connections.

I love that feeling. I have had moments like that where a small automation saves time forever and it feels like a real win.
There’s probably some helpful tips, tricks, or guides out there on Google that address this scenario because it’s a real thing. Ive noticed the remote workers that are most successful in advancing in their roles are the ones that stay “visible” and relevant. They are very responsive, they contribute, and they stay connected even if it means setting up more regular touch points with team members, managers, and/or leadership. They keep their camera on during meetings, they are engaged in discussion, and make an effort to volunteer or take ownership of unassigned tasks/action items when those opportunities come up. Communication goes a long way as well, even if it’s a quick email or slack/teams message with check-ins or status updates (or whatever’s relevant/helpful). This is just my experience and take on it, but the best 109% remote workers almost don’t seem like they’re remote at all. In the context of working hybrid and me getting in the office more, I had a good manager tell me perception really matters (even if you’re doing great work), especially when it comes to being present and visible in the office. Sometimes avoiding distractions and keeping your head down so you’re efficient/getting more work done doesn’t always work best or at least it’s not always perceived that way and/or recognized by others. Also, document your wins and key contributions and take credit for it (in a tactful way) because dismissing your own contributions and giving everyone else the spotlight thinking you’re being a team player has a tipping point and can work against you eventually.
This is the trade-off as more people go back into the office. Not to say it’ll be impossible to move up, but you’ll have a lot of competition just because you start being out of sight and out of mind.

Sometimes I wished I was remote but can definitely see the downside as well
It absolutely has downsides, but I would still not give up my remote job for faster upward mobility.
