I’ve been in this role for 3 years and keep getting strong feedback, but advancement seems slow unless I go back to school. I’m debating whether to stay and wait or pivot into industry roles that might value my experience differently. Did anyone make that jump without another degree?

Making the jump to industry is probably easier without extra degrees
The higher your education the more pigeonholed you are

There is nothing wrong with exploring to find out. Start getting applications out to roles that interest you and see what happens.

I have to admit that I wasn't terribly impressed by the virtual Co-Lo for Digital. The exception to that, though, was David's insightful comment that leadership knows and expects that many of us are struggling to come back from the pandemic, and it's okay to ask for help and or take a leave. Digital culture, and how we are real and take care of each other, is just AMAZING. That speech alone made me so proud to be here and turned around a lot of my negative thoughts.

48/M, average health. Few weeks ago I had a seizure out of the blue. First time ever, no family history. At the hospital given lots of tests: MRI, CT, EKG, EEG, blood/urine/COVID tests. Everything came back normal. Since hospital discharge I’ve seen cardiologist and wore halter monitor for a week. All good. Have neurologist appointment next month but afraid no one knows why this happened. In the meantime no one wants me to drive a car. Can this happen again? Can anyone relate to this situation?
