Are…. You just noticing this? This has been a problem since like 2015 and increased heavily after covid.
I would need more than both hands to count the people that I know who have left Denver and Colorado because of all the change since I moved there in 1999.
I wouldn't worry about it. The country, at least the cities, are just becoming one culture anyway. Regional differences are fading out. The real differences now are between urban and rural, not between various cities. Well, except for maybe Philly, those people are on their own.
The Native bumper stickers, resembling the classic green Colorado license plates, began selling in 1979. In the 1990s, when I started driving, I recall people frequently complaining about California and making "native" claims. I also remember some truly terrible sushi.
People migrate throughout the United States. Some arrived in Colorado 130 years ago, while others will arrive tomorrow. Along the way, amazing sushi also made its way here. And it turns out that an SLC transplant initiated the Native sticker trend.
Who am I to criticize Californians? My ancestors weren't here from the beginning either.

I think you are being nostalgic and I think you are being unfair in blaming California for the rise in Denver's population. This has been happening for decades, you are just anchored in your timeframe. Lots of people move here from Texas and Florida too. Personally, I would be happy that the city is thriving and there are jobs here.
I grew up in CO and in no way is Denver unique. If anything, it's not as redneck anymore. The only people I see hating the "change" are usually kinda racist!
I left Colorado in 2000 and spent 16 years showing Californians what it's like to have no good, out of state Interlopers hanging around... I'm sure that most the people I met were not from California - why do you think so many Californians come here. It's just migrations. It spreads culture, and causes more traffic jams.
All that said, between remote workers buying up homes here during COVID and Air BnB clogging up the rental market, we are in a housing crisis. And people here are hurting. It causes increased anger toward immigrants, including those from other states.
You’ve been noticing a lot of people moving here from CA lately?
