I’ve been thinking about how much of salary satisfaction is about the number versus the feeling of being valued. You can hit a higher number but still feel off if expectations keep rising with it. How do people tell the difference between a comp issue and a workload or role issue?

How does YOE work for comp?

My total is different from post-grad different from manager titles. Some companies consider manager title to determine YOE for comp which didn’t make sense.

So I got invited to do an on-site interview and as part of it, the hiring manager wants me to present some of the chemistry I'm currently working on. The problem is all my work has been government contracted and hasn't been published, so due to confidentiality I can't present any complete schemes or specific structures. Any tips on how to ace this presentation?
