I’ve been trying to pass the CPA since 2017. I’ve taken FAR 11x and BEC 9x over the yrs and have never passed. I always did well in school but these exams just kill me. Idk what I’m missing. Idk why I keep torturing myself. To have wasted all these yrs and have nothing to show for it. I feel like a failure. I just found out I failed BEC. I’m so sad. I don’t know what to do especially w. changes in 2024. Now what? Is it just me? Do I give up? Need something positive please!

I finally just passed REG on my 6th try. Don’t give up.

Dont give up, you can do it! It takes consistency to pass these exams. The fact that you been studying since 2017 to pass tells me that you probably weren’t consistent. I say this because I also been studying since 2017 and noticed a major difference once I took the exams serious. Learn what study habits work for you. For me what helped was focusing on MCQ and not even looking at the lectures unless I absolutely did not know the topic, and even when I didn’t you can learn a lot from just MCQ

like

I feel like there is something horribly wrong about your study strategy. These are cramps tests. Study 2 hours a day for 3-4 months and you will not pass. Try taking a week off work the week before the exam, and do all the final review and cumulative review generated tests. 300-400 mcq cumulative review style per day last week.

What industry are you in at Deloitte?

How far away are you from passing?

You are almost there don’t give up. My personal experiences it’s better to fail by a lot versus missing it by 1-2 points. This is because failing by a lot there’s room for improvement but missing it by 1-2 builds a false positive. Good luck, keep at it and you’ll have those three letters one day!

What study materials are you using

Becker and ninja

Can you try to pass EA first? That would help to build up your confidence….

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).

Hello everyone!
I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:
On a work visa
Non-white
Non-male
What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

What's your experience? Let's all learn.
