Big law M&A attorney with only ~1 year experience (but prior experience in corporate accounting/finance at F500). Really hate big law, so I'm starting to explore other options. What kinds of roles/positions are possible in house? What type of compensation? Please don't reference the Robert Half stuff...unless I don't know how to read any of those sources, they don't seem to be helpful at all at helping me navigate this.

I switched two years ago from regional real estate/energy to a local small, but established residential real estate practice. I interviewed for an Associate Director position in Student Life within CUNY. Both interviews went great, especially the last one with the director. I was informed that I would hear back from them within two weeks. Long story short, it's been over two months and I never got a direct follow up as told; however, I see the exact position reposted on multiple sites, including on CUNY. I called HR and they were the ones who informed me that they decided to interview a new pool of candidates.

I've worked at AWS for only a few months and I already hate it.

My onboarding buddy sucks and doesn't train me and can't answer any questions. I get a 1hr meeting once a week.

I like them as a person but I feel like I have no choice but to tell my manager that something needs to change with my training or I'm not going to stay.

I don't want to be an asshole but it seems like I don't even have a choice because I actually cannot do my job since this person refuses to train me properly.

I’ve been on the same dose of Vyvanse since fall 2019. It still works. I notice a difference when I don’t take it. But I think I miss the rush I used to get when I would feel my meds kick in — like I could handle anything and I knew my meds were working. That plus the hyper focus that was still within my control (not the time blindness hyper focus where you fixate). Does anyone still get that? Is it worth trying to change my meds? Or is this just what it feels like to be “normal” now?
