I've got this great opportunity to start a venture which will be great for my future. It's with a man who I have known for some months through network of professionals and is few years older. I'm bit hesitant to go ahead with the opportunity as while we were going through the process of building trust & bit working on the venture as well, there were moments where he crossed personal boundaries, no harassment, but in terms of repetitively wanting to hang out but not for work purposes.

Why are people so sensitive these days?

I think non-inclusive teams aren't revenue-efficient, but also aren't morally bad. Most just want to live in their bubble and not have their lives disrupted. If people want coworkers to talk football or cricket or fashion or LGBTQ+ rights with, that's entirely their prerogative. Companies and teams aren't just money printers, but also communities. You can't expect to fit into all communities.

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.
