I've put my 401k in Vanguard target 2055. The year to date return is - 2.47%. Should I change to something else? Or suck it up for a bad year and wait it out?

There’s a reason it’s called 2055. It’s a longer term fund. Stick it out. Or take your money and put into stocks for immediate returns

Market is hugely down for everyone right now. Don’t sell. Keep contributing to the fund and you’re buying while prices are down.

I'm not gonna sell whatever I have already. Was wondering if I need to change my future investments for better returns. What do you folks have?

The top 2 fidelity funds are much better. Was up 19% a month back. Not anymore but still in the 6-8% range

Target date funds shouldn’t be mixed with non-target, just keep doing all target date fund. It sounds like your risk tolerance is low though so if you’re going to keep checking short term returns (bad idea) then consider moving all your funds to a closer target date that will include more bonds (lower long term returns but less volatility)

I am 29F and earning 13LPA. I have been working for 4 years of which 3.5 years I had very low pay and close to 0 savings. I have been able to save 6L now.

My investments below:
* Elss funds - 2 (total 1.5L annually)
* Large cap mutual funds - 6 (total 40K sip per month) current portfolio of 4L
* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?

I am doing a back door Roth IRA through Vanguard and while everything makes sense to me, I am unsure if an additional $6000 be invested for a non working spouse. We satisfy the criteria but two questions - 1) Is this still valid I.e., $12k can be invested for 2021? And 2) Any insight into how this is done - Vanguard doesn’t let me add more than $6k as it’s above the individual limit. I tried searching the bowl for specific answers but wasn’t successful. Inputs appreciated.
