Hi, I am going through the same process. I suggest you to spend a lot of time on LinkedIn to get into the algorithm of climate related jobs. I also suggest you be active in communities such as TerraDo , ClimateU, women and climate (if you are a woman) and others. Connections and networking play a huge role here. Pay for LinkedIn premium and reach out to the Product or talent acquisition team directly with personalised messages.
I believe investing in a Master is a great step and it shows a connection to that “field” in your CV. I am currently enrolled to TerraDo learning course and it is cheap and really great to get to know people and touch all the main areas related with climate. You might want to start with a more generic course like this one and then further specialise in specific topic such as carbon , waste management, energy etc .
This is all I am doing and I can tell you that after one year it is giving me some results. Good luck!
Cambridge University has a Masters Study in Sustainability Leadership. You can do that while you work to help with your aspiration.
There are various options and opinions already presented here. I'll give another.
I lead a sustainability business program at a big tech company. There are many colleagues who transition into sustainability as they're great project or program managers and can get training or learn about sustainability as they get familiar with the role.
Maybe network into your company's sustainability team, area you're interested in, and talk with them about their day to day and how they made it to where they are today. You don't need a masters degree to actually make it (although it can help).
