didn't pass the loop for an L7 role earlier this month, and i found a good suitable l6 role. One of the interviewers added me on linkedin a few weeks back- is it inappropriate if i reach out to him to say thanks and ask him to put in a word for me with hiring manager for the l6 role?
i don't know y i was not selected, and i think its still worth it to reach out. 1 because i think i did well in the interviews and 2 its saves both of us time - to know if i should pursue further or not. Thoughts?

Just secured a legit ft new grad tech role starting in july not big tech. Should I keep applying all these highly leveraged companies are rescinding offers so im worried about mine even though its a stable company.

I (Spring Boot + Angular, FS, 6 YOE) interview candidates at the product company I work for.

People just show up with no prep. I interview for 4-6 YOE and these people aren't even expecting to write a single line of code. Even questions like "find the lesser of the two angles between the two hands of a clock, given the time" or simple geometry problems that don't need DSA knowledge is too hard to attempt.

They claim they know Angular/React/Spring without knowing basic Javascript/Java. 😒

So can I accept the offer from first company and then if second one also sends an offer then let the first company know I would like to reject? Also i am on H1B visa. So I have my bachelors in criminal justice and I just finished my paralegal certificate course today. My attorney should be making partner this year. With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. Industry accountant with 5 YoE, can move into senior position with $100k base, or lateral move into big 4 as associate in assurance AWM.

Interested in capital markets, PE, investment...Senior role is unreleated to these industries while PA role could potentially open doors? Just would hate not getting that salary bump after I can finally start seeing some real money after 5 years.....
