Do recruiters always try to lowball you with their first offer?

Hi, I’m looking to switch into marketing (entry level), as consulting is not aligned with my skill set/passions. Does anyone know of any ad agencies in LA that have good work-life balance, good pay, PTO, great culture, promotions, training? Your help means more than you know!!! Looking to do informational interviews and try to network my way in, as I feel the barrier to entry was much harder than anticipated. Anything helps, thank you so much!

Anyone who has been through both rounds at MBB - does case difficulty get any harder between round 1 and 2? Or is it just the level of interviewer?

Does IT companies fake job roles like they show development role while attending interview but after joining they give support.Why they don't hire separately for support?Is this because nobody wants to work in support they make job description attractive to make employees join?

I just got an offer from a company that I have mixed feelings about. Team seems great but Glassdoor reviews, not so much. I’m currently interviewing with a couple of other companies that are amazing and would be my too choices. However, I’m very early in the process so it will probably take a month or so to get to the offer stage with them. I don’t want to fall between two chairs for not taking this offer and then not getting any from other companies. What should I do? Best strategy?

So can I accept the offer from first company and then if second one also sends an offer then let the first company know I would like to reject? Also i am on H1B visa. I am in a super good position at Jellyfish as a Director with a good room in terms of growth. Great responsibilities, work life balance and I strongly love my job. However, there is an opportunity to join Google Dublin as an Agency Development Manager (level 4) with strong salary, new challenges, different role and responsibilities etc. I HAVE A STRONG DOUBT about a trade off: is better to have a strong margin of growth and a good position or join Google with the above conditions?

Applied to a job and was referred. My referral let me know ~5 days after I applied that they received an email that my application was passed to the hiring team.
