I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

I’m glad you got that off your chest and are able to close this chapter. I’m so happy for you. Walk confidently into a better situation.
Just thank everyone for being kind/hardworking/whatever coworkers. There’s zero reason to bring “why’s” into this.
That said, your boss is an ass
Follow rule #1 about HR - don’t trust HR, don’t tell HR anything, it’s not worth it. They will tell your now former boss what you said, so your former boss (who doesn’t seem like the nicest/most thoughtful person in the world) will go around shit-talking you. In the end, your boss will have gotten away with it, and you’ll end up paying the price even more. I’m sorry about what you’re going through, though it seems like you have a good head on your shoulders and some real strength to recognize the situation. But don’t go to HR about this. They’ll just make it worse, like HR always does.
As if you needed it, this probably solidifies that you made the right decision. Best wishes for your mental health recovery and long term happiness.
I was in a similar position at another job..I think you’ll realize more and more how great of a decision you’ve made! You’ll find something much better
I feel you. I’m pretty close to the edge myself.
Wow, what a senseless thing our boss did. Good for you for taking action and stepping away to do what’s best for you. I’m glad you’re putting yourself first, and your boss doesn’t deserve your hard work and effort that drove you to this point. Keep your head up and remember that you and your life is the top priority. Not this job or boss that can’t appreciate all you’ve done.
Feel proud about your decision to leave! Unfortunately, there are so many awful people like your boss still left at agencies who claim to care about their employees. You're one step closer to knowing what you want at a new company and how to run your own team. Best of luck!
This is crazy ... where do you work? I am so shocked by this practice. I hope that you are proud of what your decision of leaving this company. You put yourself first and such a reaction from your boss should give you more confidence in the choice you made to resign. Well done!
I'm going to echo what everyone is saying. You made a great decision. Keep your head up high and focus on your mental health as that should be your top priority.
This is exactly why you needed to leave. Stride of pride right on out of there.
Jeez what a dipshit. Sounds like you made the right move leaving OP.
Based on what you described here, maybe your boss didn’t have any bad intentions and just wanted to give you an opportunity to say goodbye to everyone? Are you bothered that there was a regroup or that they put you on the spot?
Expected the regroup, but didn’t anticipate being put on the spot. When past teammates were leaving they told us without them present and none of them were ever put on a soapbox in front of us to speak, so that part threw me for a loop
Hope you are documenting everything and considering legal action...
Don't let it get to you anymore. Meaning - this is the same place that caused all of the issues that led to you resigning in the first place. Don't be surprised by the leopard's spots.
Yup, it sucks but that's them and all you can do is point it out (to us) and move on to find your happiness.
Sorry about that, but glad you did this for yourself.
I am considering this myself. Feel like my mental (and physical health) is at a deterioration point.
I’ve never quit a job for mental health before, but it did feel really good to put myself first and draw the line in the sand that I won’t be subjecting myself to any further bullshit. Highly recommend!
How did you prefer that your boss handle your departure? I ask because it will help us understand. (Sorry for how this was handled. Doesn’t sound right.)
Another teammate gave notice a few weeks before me and our boss told everyone about them 1:1, no team meeting with them to announce it to to the larger team themselves. Had assumed things were going to go this route for myself and was caught off guard with the different treatment
Sounds like your boss was vindictive or extremely insensitive. Hopefully he will be
Filling your shoes and dealing as you had. You will find a better spot. Mental health is a crisis that people are ignoring. Take care.
I hope you find peace and a new job that’s healthier for you!
Was she / he maybe just trying to give you the forum for you to say good bye? I agree tone deaf but sometimes bosses are so clueless. Perhaps this person meant no harm just wanted for you to say a few words on how much you enjoyed the team and keep in touch speech ?
Peace and blessings. You don’t them anything! And, your old boss is trash!
