The pay package is rough but he is right that is not an easy transition into fp&a role. Might consider taking the hit to open opportunities
Do not believe the recruiter, they are holding you back. They have a price tag on your head that’s holding you back
Yeah it’s an external recruiter so I can see it happening. I’m just afraid I won’t get an offer for FP&A and will be pigeonholed in Acct forever lol
Recruiter is talking bs. I have heard of a good amount of people going from Audit to FPA. Negotiate up especially with the no 401k for now. “2021” might mean 2023” just a heads up
Well PTO is 2 weeks but I’m told that’s negotiable. Health benefits are alright not the best I would say. Job security is def there. It’s also a 45 min commute which is what’s really making me reconsider. I say 80K bc there’s not much more I can ask for coming in as someone who hasn’t done any FP&A out of big 4 audit
Jeez no 401k or bonus? Idk about that OP
Yeah it’s tough. It’s also a much longer commute which I wouldn’t mind if I got paid more. Just seems like a great way to learn a lot and get into FP&A but also comp just seems really low.
Pass
Doesn’t sound sufficient tbh.
Il interested in pursuing a similar route, is there any chance you can share what technical questions did they give you?
Honestly no technical questions in that sense but they did if I knew how to use excel, SQL, and Power BI. The latter two I didn’t have much experience in but they were okay with training me for that
