What is project specific BGC in TCS?
Hello fishes, I have offers from two different companies and both are offering same amount of CTC - 18LPA (YOE: 3.2) . Company names are Pristyn Care and Xiaomi technology india pvt. ltd .
Now for Pristyn Care I won't have to move out of Gurgaon (I'm from north India). Xiaomi is calling me to Bangalore. Rest all the benefits seem similar.
In terms of learning and job security and all the aspects considered, which company should I join?
Please help me decide. Thank you!

I would tell her that you’re excited about the opportunity to work with her, but also mention that you’re in the process of negotiating details of the offer with the recruiter.
Stay away from the companies that don’t stick to their promises. I have turned down an offer recently cos they couldn’t pay me the amount the promised they could in an earlier conversation.
agreed, major red flag for me.
This is a common Huron experience unfortunately. I interviewed for a role and offered a level lower. I have heard the same story from other colleagues. My recruiter told me that they relayed my concerns to the hiring managers but still stood firm on the title. I chose to give up the fight on titles and pushed for a higher pay. I’ve enjoyed the breadth of work so far and the work/life balance. And I was promoted to the level I originally interviewed for 1 year after joining.
Make the decision that works best for you. Know that Huron cares for their employees once you’re in. The leadership definitely invests in their people if you put in the same effort and networking. They’ll try to staff based on your interests and your expertise. Every year I always re-evaluate my development and think if I should leave Huron, but I have observed a few Huron-ers boomerang back to the company after just a year or 2 away. So that speaks to the culture as well. I’ve been with Huron 4 years now which in my opinion is pretty long for a consultant! I thought I’d leave after 2.
She has relayed any of our conversation back to the team because of the type of conversations I had with the manager/director etc VS what was discussed. Manager (which I was really fond of) sent out an email to congratulate me after receiving the offer. Should I bring up concerns/ take salary negotiations to her? Or should I just express excitement and pretend everything is great while I continue to negotiate with the recruiter?
OP: I’m sorry to hear about your experience. As you mentioned below, our consultants are great though.
Which team (Rev Cycle, clinical, higher ed, business advisory, etc)? I thought majority of our teams are on a hiring freeze.
Also, I’ve done hiring for Huron in the past. So let me explain why this process makes sense.
I’m sure you went through several in-person interviews. At the end of the in-person interview day, we come together as a group and decide whether your past experience and skills set will make you successful at the level you chose to apply. If we think you are the right candidate for Huron but have doubts about the level, we tell the recruiter that we would love to have them as an analyst in our team but they may struggle as an associate.
This is not the recruiter’s call at this point. I’ve personally made this call before. We don’t want you to have a bad experience and be miserable. If you show us that you can function in an associate role by outperforming in the analyst role, you will get that promotion in the next cycle.
I know it is disappointing but I assure you if the interview team has decided that you may struggle at the associate level, you are better off negotiate pay and come in as an analyst.
I hope this helps.
Similar situation. Interviewed as an Associate and hired as an Analyst and do not regret it. It became clear HR wouldn’t budge on title but negotiated slightly higher comp. I will echo the comments above and say the culture/people/work life make up for the comp difference. The people who work here are great and leadership cares. That to me means more than a slightly higher salary. Feel free to DM if you have any other questions.
Huron is a great company to work for and they take care of their employees well-being above all! Of course you should consider your alternatives before committing (and try to negotiate a competitive compensation for your skills and experience), but if you do chose Huron the culture and people you will work with are top-notch!
Thanks H3. I really feel the same way but I needed someone to tell me that again. I appreciate you giving it to me honestly! 😊 I don’t have issues at my current role and am a high performer. Manager and leadership have given praise and told me I would be on the fast track to a leadership role soon as well- downside is on the breadth of industries I work with and compensation. I’m concerned about the delay this could cause in my career progression as well but excited about the different industries it could expose me to! I’m stuck in a dilemma!
H4, I’m really impressed and pleased to see so many Huron employees stepping up to endorse the company culture! Unfortunately after being overworked for almost 2 years, I seem to feel that the recognition from salary/title matters a lot. I will take your advice into consideration! Definitely not planning to burn any bridges at all. I do feel the fit at Huron. If this doesn’t work out and it is possible in the future, I’d hope to join Huron in the future when I’m back with more YOE 😊
