Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

It kind of depends on what your personality and standards are. Myself, I wouldn’t take to being disrespected like that, and I’m no one’s second choice, so I’d tell them politely to eat my shorts. But it depends on how much you need/want this job, your level of zen, etc.
This kind of shit happens. Often. As much as everyone here bitches about being ghosted, this is how unsatisfying it is to to be told the truth.
They asked for references last week (a very good sign). Today, I get an email that they have decided to elevate the role for something more senior given a new direction. That said, I am still in the running but they want me to wait another few weeks while they repost the new role on LinkedIn, wait for people to apply and bring them in for interviews.
Am I missing something?
I’m not sure of the exact rule but companies are required to post jobs in open forums, for a specific period of time, to provide candidates with equal employment opportunities. Good luck OP
I heard somewhere that they have to advertise openings even if they have the candidate they want. So some LinkedIn job postings are actually fake. I think I applied to one of those fake ones recently. Just have an odd feeling about it
Don’t take it personal. If you want it, keep playing. Some places are so corporate in hiring, that stuff happens. I wouldn’t take it personal, but it is a show of how things operate there.
I had this same thing happen to me. Keep in mind that nothing is certain until you have signed the offer letter. Hope for the best, but prepare yourself for the worst. In my case I was strung along for months only to not get the job in the end.
A bit weird but at least rational. New job description, new ad.
Just go with it and make a decision once you get an offer. I’ve been on the other side of the hiring process and the amount of things that need to fall into place to make an offer is far more complicated than it should be.
