Just out of curiosity, what do you tell your 2-3 year old son/daughter that you do at work when you do technology consulting or management consulting?

I been thinking about buying a 3bed and 3bath house or a condo. I haven’t had much luck in finding one so I started thinking about 4 bed and 3bath. I am single and I don’t have any plans to marry or have a partner staying with me. Is there anyone who’s single living in a 3 or 4 bed house by yourself ? Please share your experiences from all aspects. The only thing that makes me think weird is, it’s too much space for one person ☹️

I grew up poor and was obsessed w financial security. After investing my blood, sweat and tears into my career for years, I’ve decided I don’t care about my career or earnings as long as I have enough to support my family. We are happier than ever making less and saving little. I wasn’t there when my mom was sick and died because I was working and my employer didn’t allow me to be in a mental headspace to be a good person for my family. I can never change that but I can be better going forward.

I returned back from Germany this year and now my current fixed CTC in India is 25 LPA and my in hand salary after deduction was 1.4 LPM, I was not sure what to opt in the Tax regime and selected new tax regime. Can someone shed some light how can I increase my in hand salary and reduce the tax. Also can I change my tax regime while filing Tax returns?

I set up my boss to take on a client that I planned to steal from her. She thought she was using me but I was using her. When she asked me to prepare statements of work, I drafted it with my resume in mind. When she asked me to set pricing, I priced it at my desired salary. When she pawned the work off to me, I nonchalantly took point. Then slowly and surely, I made myself indispensable to the client. I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(
