I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. Book recommendations for a vacation?

At a career crossroads. Post MBA, probably will make Manager in next year or two. Can go back to industry in a local office leadership role with a pay bump OR stay on path to Manager. Industry role could potentially turn into something bigger down the road (regional or potentially executive leadership). Or I stay in consulting and the work I’m doing is project management. Not the “consulting” I signed up for.

Anyone has any good corporate codes for Hilton? Downtown Chicago if you need an area specific?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
