You’ll be a manager before you know it.

How so? Who gets the advantage?

Realistically at most firms you will get put on a PIP first, which are usually initiated at mid year or year end. Then that process takes months so they can coach and watch for improvement.
But being new to something takes time. I wouldn’t expect someone to crush it out of the gate. You need to get your bearings. Be transparent with your manager and ask for help or coaching. You will be amazed at how much people will help a motivated person get getter.

Also, you may actually suck right now. It’s ok. We have all been there. Keep your head up!

Everybody sucks during their first year - I bet you’re performing better than you think! Part of what this job teaches you is to lower your standards for yourself because they’re probably higher than your manager’s standards.
I know lot of suckers at work who did exceptionally well in long time . Initial days it's ok to suck at work but after 5-6 years of experience, they look for expertise from you .
The fact that you’re self aware of your own weakness already puts you ahead of most people in consulting. You’ll be fine.

LEK is T2, others are T2ish/T3. 🤷♀️
Fake it till you make it !
Feel free to DM if it's ZS - our C role is tougher to adjust to. I will be happy to share what worked for me!
Hahahaha.. I think I feel like this once every week or maybe more.. Tell yourself that there’ll always be someone better than you, but at the same time you’ve come so far haven’t you so you will do alright. And even if you don’t do alright.. you’ll survive that too! And in days when none of the above work, I just eat something yummy to cope with the sadness. You do what’s fun for you :)
Took me about 6 months as an experienced hire to finally feel like I had things under control. Give yourself some grace and keep working hard and asking for feedback from superiors. It’s only up from there!
