Know that there is a special place in hell for recruiters that ghost
Absolutely.
If you really want the roles then I would reach back out to them and ask for next steps, timing, and in depth feedback if you didn’t get it. If they continue to ghost then let it be. The industry practice of not telling folks that they didn’t get it or informing if there is hold up in HR even if they wanted you is such bull.
Also remember that your self-value as an employee is not determined by shit HR practices. You got this!
have you tried following up by phone? sometimes the sound of a human on a voicemail can help
this is hard to do, but you can't take it personally. 10+ intervieees for every job, but only one job = lots of people will be disappointed. the fact that you get to interview means they could see you in the role.
it's a horrible numbers game and you have to keep on at it until something lands for you. good luck.
Be happy you’re at least getting interviews!
Yes this is so true.
Follow up to the point of being annoying
Think of interviewing as a skill set in itself. Sometimes you can be the most competent, best person for the job, but you suck at interviews. It’s all an art that’s hard to master. Recommend reading the book - “Never Split The Difference” by Chris Voss. It’s amazing. And final note - hang in there! I know it’s super discouraging but as long as you’re trying , you’re learning and growing. Go you!
