...(cont) why hasn’t he fully completed all his math the last 3 days. While I know the intentions are good, I want to scream! And cry. We are doing the best we can. It’s way too much pressure for these kinds of check ins, IMO. The kids are happy, playing, smiling. The family time is glorious and mom and dad are keeping it together with smiles and positivity. I’m upset. I have already dealt with anxiety and depression while in quarantine. I’m getting to the other side now. But I know we have 2 more months of this at least. Do I tell her how I feel now? Or just ignore. Thanks moms. 💗

I think you tell her - set that expectation now that you and your partner are not able or willing to be full time teachers right now!!

Curious if the teacher has kids, spouse and is able to observe the stress at home? If she/he is single you might need to spend some time enlightening them.

No spouse or kids.

YES! This!! It’s so hard trying to do both. It’s not like we sit around doing nothing all day! I think you can say it in a way that’s not super argumentative. Just say that you are working from home and it’s difficult to juggle both during the day. Ask her/him if they can set up a call or a zoom to work with your child? Your kids will be fine! You don’t need to be a teacher. Do the best you can, do the school work you can in the time you have and don’t let anyone make you feel bad about it! You got this, OP.

Thank you. I really appreciate your response. It’s hard to know what’s a “requirement” of work he has to hand in and what is optional. I’m at the point, if it’s a requirement, where I will do it myself.

I would tell her. We’re all just doing the best we can right now. Nobody is getting it perfect! Getting through it happy, healthy and with some work done in the process is success!

Are there any permanent work from home job for cisco networking skills. I am 6 years experience and works in hcl technologies lucknow. I want to change the job and will be happy if I get permanent work from home

It’s been a grueling 18 months, for everyone. There’s a unique story I’d like to share and it’s my own but I have to believe it’s not only mine. I was privileged enough to be able to WFH during the pandemic and change jobs to a fully remote job during this time. The isolation has become so complete, with the lack of connection and professional rapport or daily respect/clarity thru slack convos and sporadic zoom - I’m at an all time mental low barely able to start this Monday morning.

6th year L&E associate here and thinking about transitioning to a position with better WLB. How do you go about getting a government job and are they flexible about WFH, at least a couple of days a week? Recruiters reach out all the time, but always about other firm positions. Tips/ advice much appreciated!

I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.

I have a salary range in mind for a new role based on online research and target increase from my comp now. But my research shows the data points are for salaries in HCOL areas. Do I need to adjust what I ask for if it’s a remote role and I’m not in HCOL city? Don’t want to overshoot and lose a great opportunity.
