I take it you are h1b? "Kindly requesting" is a dead give away
Only immigrants Kindly request. We Americans Curtly request.
"Kindly do the needful"
M1, not an H1B but just wanted to ask nicely
I was excited to see i got replies but no actual ranges provided by anyone yet 😬
I think everyone feels too bad about your salary that they don’t want to provide you with a range. But to rip the bandaid off I was at $155k as a 2nd year SC in S&O before my promo to M. I was also a campus hire + GSAP and had ~3.5 years total at firm.
Anyone who tells you they make 155k after 3.5 years experience in consulting at a big 4 is 95% fluffing. You'll need to go to MBB
Maybe total compensation including 401k, bonus etc
M1 - i did 2.5 years as BA, left for a GSAP MBA, came back at $140k base as a feb hire, got a raise to $144 at YE, got a 1 the next YE and got a raise to $155k. So it was more like 4 total years but totally possible and normal for 1 performers.
Deloitte speak is weird, but this is an interesting conversation!
No, what you need to do is negotiate like no other
Advisory doesn’t really negotiate. Either wait for a ‘market adjustment’ (you should be around $100-105 right now unless you’re a low performer), or apply to EY - they pay higher and you can either take it or get Deloitte to counter.
OP is in Advisory, those of you referring to the Consulting pay scale are using inaccurate comparisons.
My first year (2014) as an SC in Advisory in NYC was $100K . Raises ranged between 8 & 12% the years after. Came in as experienced hire.
That seems low......
E1 I actually don’t think it’s that low for non-analytics Advisory.
That was so high D2!
I now have 4yr experience, also campus hire, about 110k in NYC.
Almost identical position/salary OP, just only Advisory, 4.5 years, and in Charlotte, not NYC.
Same role same year in sf. 92000. Not that diff considering the rent here. Anyone can do IA so the market rate is low. Get out while you can ;)
What I’m hearing is that, I need to acquire new skills 🤔
LOL D2, your post genuinely made me laugh. Thank you :) and good for you w/ that comp! 👏
