They’re all the same. Pick the people you vibed with the most. That’ll increase the likelihood that you enjoy your experience with the firm.

They are both amazing places to start your career at, with EY having the edge in the brand name compared to kpmg. Overall your experience at either will come down to your team and what you make of it
Sounds like the commercial bank isn’t a great place to work. PwC isn’t wrong, but on the flip side, let’s not forget that there are some companies that prefer working with KPMG over the other 3.
You should want to work with people who want to work with you, and not at a place where you were considered the next best option.
PwC
I also saw tons of people at EY get promoted to senior after 1.5 years lol
Each of the Big 4 are only marginally different. In terms of size and “brand” EY is probably a little more respected in corporate America. However, my observation from people I know at both and what I’ve seen on this app (granted it will obviously range from office to office):
-KPMG compensates better
-KPMG tends toward better WLB
-KPMG tends to have a better culture/cooler people overall who actually have social lives in and outside of work
Whereas:
-EY has awful technology
-EY has poor leadership
-EY is more likely to understaff and underpay
-EY has a very “dry” and robotic culture
EY culture is great, but the other 3 points are 💯
You'll likely enjoy your time in PA more if you go to KPMG
Deloitte
Unlimited PTO.
$1k per year to spend in pretty much anything wellness related (gym, home office setup, and now video games, flights, hotels…)
Pick any if you want to exit to industry it does not matter. Even at RSM I’m competing for same jobs
I worked at Both. KPMG has better PTO & Sabbatical policy and has better insurance and HSA contribution. But EY has more diverse and inclusive environment.
Yep I personally think so.
