I‘ve joined Globant 3 months back. They have offered me very good CTC & the position is Senior Developer. I’m on bench till date & there are few more too. Being on the high CTC side & Higher position, I’m bit tensed about my career over here. Can someone please help me if it is a normal situation in Globant? Or I should worry & should be active again? Also, is there any layoff happened in Globant in the past couple of years.

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.

I recently cleared all rounds of interview for Mindtree and waiting for the offer letter. However, since Mindtree has been recently acquired by LTI, is there any layoff expected to happen in Mindtree?

Completed onsite interviews for the TAM role and recruiter gave me feedback that my technical depth wasn’t up to par for the role but my googleness/leadership and GCA interview feedback was stellar so they plan to propose me for Cloud PM roles instead. Does this happen? Or are they just being nice? What’s the probability that they’ll match me to another role?

2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Thus far, he’s landed interviews with (all in Houston): Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, Kirkland, Winston Strawn, Reed Smith, Norton Rose, and Locke Lord. Also Perkins Coie in Dallas. Anyone been able to work from Dubai for a UK/US firm and benefit from no taxes? I know if you are a US citizen you pay taxes where you are globally, but if you are British, then you only pay income tax on UK income - so if you live more than half the year abroad you are classed as non-domicile resident, but wanted to hear if anyone’s done this or heard about it?
