We are hiring for senior IT auditors and cyber assessors to work on SOC2s, CMMC, pen testing, vulnerability assessments, and other similar projects. Boston area, medium/large regional firm. 2-4 years exp but flexible. Open to associates that are on the cusp of promotion to senior. Relatively low travel and better WLB compared to Big4. Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. It’s been asked before whether it’s worth it to pay (~$150) to upgrade a 3 hr flight. I generally agree it is not. But what if your two tweenagers bicker nonstop and are complete and total jerks to you all the time and your spouse chooses the “they’ll grow out of it” approach to things so basically you just want 3 hours of alone time. Then is it worth it?

(Note, in this scenario, they are all entirely too naive to realize it isn’t a system comped upgrade.)

This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Thoughts in general?

98 almost 99k base salary in San Diego, CA not including the bonuses or OT… is this too low or reasonable?
