On my ride home I noticed they removed the tolls going into the Sumner. Hoping that when the construction is finally cleared out it will make things much faster.

@EY I'm talking about the physical booths. I know they were using the take a picture of your license plate thing for awhile.

I've been stuck here for over 30 min. Take the silver line and uber once you get outside the airport!

The tunnels into boston are super backed up.

Holy hell this is nuts. Thanks for the tip fishies!

Traffic is essentially at a standstill

Just caught the shuttle to the blue line. To the train I go!

Fuck this man

Still bad?

Yeah pwc1 I think it had something to do with taking out the physical booths and repaving.

PHEV (specifically, RAV4 Prime) yay/nay?

Expected use case:
Family car
Low mileage (<10-11k / yr)
4-5 days a week expecting less 30 miles per day
Weekends 100-200 miles altogether (occasionally)
Rare road trip use (1x or 2x / yr; <300 miles one way)
Have garage (to charge at home)

Chief Concern: "Best of both worlds" in engineering can mean compromises and complications, which can mean non-resilient/unreliable. But I'm no gearhead, so not sure if I'm making massive incorrect assumptions.

Any thoughts on the nice looking garment duffles? Have my eye on the hook and Albert since I usually travel with two suits. I use regional jets a lot so overhead space sucks (why I use a duffel now)

Best small carry on? They keep shrinking the acceptable luggage size and half of the models out there don't qualify

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)
