I’m not good at planning vacations and have never really gone somewhere without having a reason to be there (ie. work, family, etc). How do you folks plan a trip, and, I know it varies by location, but what’s a good amount of money to set aside for vacation? Thanks, trying to learn how to unplug better.

The top most reason for me planning to immigrate to Canada is money. As I read more about the salaries and expenses in this country, I realise that although you can spend your life comfortably here but you can not save enough money to send back home. Is it true?
