How do you know if you’re just truly burned out due to lockdowns/WFH/etc. vs. actually hate your job and need to leave? I was doing okay up until about last December when things started going downhill. Now I dread every single work day and just live for the weekends. I can’t handle the pressures/stress of work that I felt I could even this time last year, & it is affecting my performance because I truly don’t care to fix things anymore. Not sure if this will pass or I need a full change…

I’m a 2nd year civil litigation associate at a mid-sized firm in south Florida. My dream has always been to go in house but was dissuaded by law school professors telling me not to. I’m at a crossroads now because I’m OVER the billing, but my boss and direct team is quite possibly the most amazing and supportive group. My boss is always willing to let us work remote or take vacations. My question is, is the grass greener on the other side? Should I go in house now or wait another 3 years?

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.

Ladies, as we get our Black Friday deals this week, I hope you check out givebackbox.com— they ask you to reuse shipping boxes to donate clothes/other goods, and give you free shipping labels. I’m lucky to have what I have, as many of us are. During the holidays, I try to donate clothes so that they have a second life. I used to bring bags of donated clothes to Goodwill but given covid, Give Back Box’s free pickup is probably better. Hope you join force!
