Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

Fl the pay is no where near that from what I’ve seen. People at hospitals are making around 24 with over 4 yrs experience
I'd imagine $80-90k/year in some parts of the country. Not where I'm at, unfortunately. I'm at $72k with 13 YOE.
Curious, what state are you in? Do you do other modalities than general?
I see a lot of urgent cares hiring for $35-40/hourly only requiring like 2 years of experience.
Make it clear on your resume that you’re up to date on the latest machinery, software programs, and techniques. List which EMRs you’re proficient in. The one con of having a lot of experience is that people make feel the education you received 15+ years ago is missing some things found in current programs.
I am at an urgent care now, $32/hour. Feeling very under paid now. I’ve been with the same company for 15 years. They are probably not going up in pay any time soon. I have talked to others in the area and they are similar in pay. Maybe it’s my area. They just don’t want to pay us, but want us to do all the nurses stuff, vitals, be a secretary, run labs…in addition to being the X-ray tech. For all that we do we should be making $40/hr. Don’t think I’ll ever see that here I’m at though.
I have 9 years of experience and make $33 an hour at an orthopedic clinic connected to a major hospital in Phoenix. I would imagine you should be making closer to $40 an hour in a hospital.
