Can't speak to Monitor, but EYP is a decent training ground. Project and partner dependent but some interesting work in strategy, especially transaction related. Comp doesn't scale well though and alot of young top talent leave before SM. Many partners are ex Mck/Kearney
Which team in EYP? 100% take it over Monitor if it’s for CGS/TSE. Strong brand and very friendly work environment. Really strong M&A/transactions practice. Comp issues are real but great exits starting from the SC level. Speaking from personal experience.
Currently at EYP and this is the way — spot on summary
My impression of Monitor is it is not really differentiated from Deloitte. On the other hand EYP seems to be more differentiated. I think EYP work will be "more strategic" but it will likely be focused more on M&A, so you should ask yourself if you want to build a specialty there or not. Deloitte work is likely to be a bit more generalist or varied in my view, which also doesn't hurt for the first job in your career. Either way a great choice to have. Good luck
Monitor doesn't really exist anymore...
Both are fine. Monitor is bigger and Deloitte is bigger, so it gives you slightly higher brand recognition and optionality for work. Which people did you feel you’d get along with better?
