best way to gauge what WLB/hours are during the interview process? in the past i’ve asked about team culture but their answers never end up revealing much about this. i feel like it’s frowned upon to come right out and ask about hours, but not sure how else to bring this up
Show of hands; who has been laid off because your agency lost a big client? Also, when you interviewed for your next job did you feel comfortable saying that? And do other agencies understand?
We had new neighbors move in across the street a few months ago. A couple with a child of about 7 years old who clearly has a cognitive disability of some sort (I suspect autism). I’m becoming concerned about him. He seems to spend a good amount of time alone outdoors. He often flags down passers by to chat. I thought perhaps his parents kept an eye on him through the window, but today he was hanging on a neighbor’s front stoop for a good half hour. I went over to talk to him and see if (con’t)
I lost my father a few months ago and I’m not coping well. Has anyone used an employee assistance program for this? Should I just seek a counselor privately?
I went to my boss at work and said, "I need a raise. Three other companies are after me." He said, "Really? Which other companies are after you?" I said, "The electric, water and gas companies"
Currently a senior consultant at B4 in LCOL city making $105K. Received offer at Microsoft in Bay Area for $130K base, $100K equity and 10% bonus for an associate role. Everything about the role is great except for the leveling given I am up for manager this year. Would appreciate your insights as I’m really struggling with this.
Has anyone ever seen firms not opt for full round interviews? (I.e, render positive decision after screener/group of partners). Just wondering
Any healthcare industry people have clients who have outsourced their medical billing department? Looking for some ideas/recommendations on what outsource companies are used and whether you’ve seen good/bad outcomes from your client doing so. TY.
Hey Sales 🐠, kindly requesting your advice. I have 4 YOE in customer success and 2 YOE as a presales solutions consultant, all in the health tech space. I’d like to grow into a sales role (e.g. Account Executive), but am not sure what a good next step should be. I don’t have any full cycle sales experience or a history of a meeting quotas, but I am comfortable in C-suite interactions. Any suggestions on what type of sales roles to consider next? Thanks!
Large team event ideas in-around Newyork (travel should be less than an hour from dowtown) ? Say group of 30-40 people !
Flying out of newark for first time tmrw morning 8am (I'm an LGA gal normally). Terminal C, have precheck. Cannot miss the flight but also love my zzzs; any advice on when to get there?
Potentially a dumb question, but for the employment history part of the application, should you include internships? If so, do you annualize the amount of your internship pay? I’ve included them in my resume but feels a little weird to put them at the same level as my first full time job.
I feel so hopeless. All my friends are leaving Deloitte and I am still stuck here. I would like to exit to industry, but all the offers I receive are way too low, especially compared to the huge salary increases I see people here get. Where should I be looking as a strategy consultant with 3 YOE wanting a remote position?
I am seeing a lot of people in my network leaving Deloitte recently… a lot in SM / PPMD cohort. Looks like ACN and PWC are really on huge hiring spree….
Hate to be the “How many points?” guy, but the hotel had the Fire Alarm go off for about 1 minute duration, 4 separate times throughout the night 1 AM - 6 AM. Lead to an obviously sleepless night.
Which privacy cert would you go for, CIPM or CIPT? Debating which I should test for, since I have competency in both. Which has better ROI for career, or in greater demand in industry?
