Are any first year associates thinking about post-big law career shifts already? If so, what? I paid off my student loans in December, so I don’t feel stuck, but would like to build a nest egg for a couple of years if I can possibly sustain it. To be frank, while I want to do a good job because I care about my reputation, I don’t feel at all motivated by the work and think I may have made a mistake pursuing big law when the culture (and the relentless grind) just seem so pointless to me.

I have 7 years experience as a QA engineer in networking domains,to be specific to WiFi/WLAN testing.
I started my career with a 6LPA package,after gaining 2.7 years experience,
Switched to Second company for 9.5LPA .
Switched to a 3rd company (currently working here) which is my dream company for 18.5LPA with a total experience of 5.11 years.
Though I'm happy with my work and company culture, I am not completely satisfied with the current 18.5LPA salary. I always have a feeling I'm underpaid.

How to promote the automation culture and documentation culture? I find it hard to give boni for automations since
a) the amount of automations isn't the amount of saved time
b) the amount of saved time is hard to be tracked for a single automation

How do you organize your work? My firm is in the dark ages in terms of scheduling assignments. I get email after email. Cc’d on stuff that have no action items for me. I have rush assignments as well as regular assignments from numerous people. Everyday I am sifting through emails to compile my to do and priority list. Today it took me 2 hours of wasted time just to make a to do list. I had 150 emails. Can anyone give me tips on how to be faster and more efficient?
