We are reading Tears of a Tiger and that is about dealing with the death of a popular classmate. It’s an emotional read.
Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Michaelsen.
American Born Chinese. It’s a graphic novel, so it may attract non-book worms. It’s very good for 9th grade and great for kids struggling to find their identity.
Mostly following for ideas, but Alex award books are always high interest.
