Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

They’re huge fuckers. Chased my Uber driver 3 blocks Monday morning once.
When they cancel, I can’t leave feedback and neither Lyft nor Uber are responsive about unreliable drivers. Some drivers don’t have the Lyft or Uber logo on the windshield (anyone know why?) and claim they are “not cleared” to drive to the airport. It’s super frustrating and stressful. I have to budget an additional 20 to 30 minutes because I don’t know if my drivers are just going to leave me after seeing me come out of my house with my luggage
@M1 - in SFO they have to have the decal:
The Uber vehicle decal (trade dress) must always be displayed on the front passenger windshield and rear passenger windshield facing outward. The unique airport placard must be displayed beneath the front trade dress. Driver-partners can obtain this Uber decal at their local Greenlight Hub.

That's probably also why they don't want to go to the airport. Don't want to be caught with no decal
I think those drivers should be excluded from the requests then, right? Like why am I having to deal with this when I’m trying to make a flight. Ugh. It’s so stressed. Driver tried dropping me off at the BART station which wasted another 10 minutes. Like no, this isn’t the airport. It’s 45 minutes still to the airport and at least one train change.
Yeah, there’s really no way to provide feedback. Until you can do that it’s best to just leave early for the airport. It’s one of the reasons I’ve actually just started taking cabs as much as possible. Tired of shitty uber/lyft drivers

One of the reasons I always rented a car. Also, was in the bay area so made sense anyways.
No solution on the Lyft front but can you get a private driver? I worked out a deal with a private driver for less than Uber black rates to the airport. Even if it's more expensive, you can avoid the extra 20-30min and stress.
OP if it’s that big of a problem, just hire a regular and professional driver who arrives on time. You don’t have to use Uber or Lyft...
Similar to OW1, I found one Uber driver who was great and offered him regular business. He picks me up and drops me off every week now and has for last two years, always on time and always pleasant.
What’s the advantage of using Uber or Lyft? I take black cars or taxis.
For me, you have to direct taxis to your destination and their cars are filthy. For getting home from airport, I hate coordinating with a black car driver if there's delays/cancellations
