Cognizant is desperately trying to shed its image as a BPO / staff aug place.
A good way to unite the various members of this bowl: ask them if it would be a good idea to join Cognizant.
Replace the word “Scot” with “Cognizant”: https://youtu.be/i2q0T7QXETs
At this point in your career, you should be looking way beyond salary. What are you hoping to achieve by moving to Cognizant? Are you only enticed by the money? The culture? The work? The travel?
that’s a BIG downgrade on the resume! won’t take it!
Cloud? Yes, but when you work at an Indian firm, the culture is different.
Like how?
Absolutely not. Think YOY growth. You will outpace your salary in cognizant in 2 years.
I think that’s a bit of a stretch. Unless OP gets promoted he won’t make that much in 2 years
That’s said, OP needs to also consider how his exit options will look like with Cognizant on it. I don’t think it’s worth downgrading
What is the bonus potential at both? Need to compare all in comp.
0.0 at Cogs.
Take it . Lots if money.
I’d take the salary.
Ask for 50% increase
Are you at $161k base or base+bonus. D's bonus is way more than the 🥜 that C will offer. If it's TC to TC comparison, it's a good jump, but I'd ask for a bit more.
Wouldn’t go there
Big No!
Which group or role is this?
Transformation Management
Cognizant is giving out more lucrative packages right now to folks who they are expecting will deliver. If you miss their mark expect to be on a list of cost cutting lay offs the do few times a year. There is no company culture, the new CEO is looking for immediate results.
OP or anyone at Cognizant how would you describe the overall SM interview experience. What are the case study types asked, if any?
No case study. Mostly experience questions with discussion around past project roles and hypothetical future focused project questions.
Go for it, use it as a pit stop for something better.
