Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?

The STAR method is always your best friend in interviews. Just google synonyms for the 4 words and start with them so you’re on track (e.g for S - situation, start with “the picture is like to paint” or “the overview of the scenario I was in..”)
Isn't every interview question an "on the spot" question?
I have the same habit. When a question is being asked , I focus on how do I just come up with an answer to it .
I found a solution to this . When asked something random that i have not prepared in interview process , i say I need a minute to structure my thoughts .
And try to answer it in a format what should be your focus in that situation and then what actions would you take to make sure your problem is resolved or was resolved .
When preparing for interviews ,Try to practise giving answer to your self to get structure in the way you speak .
it’s easier said than done , if you are hardwired to answer things like me .
Also I had a question . how long did it take for them to come back after your final interview with the feedback ?
Just tape yellow sticky and write slow down! Always restate the question.
