Pension. DU. PTO is accrued at a lower rate by paycheck.
- Less pay.
- Less PTO - 5.5 hrs biweekly vs. 7.5 in core
- No pension plan.
- No tution reimbursement if you plan on pursuing a degree while working. I think core gets 100% reimbursement.
- Paternal leaves a huge difference
- Can't go to DU.
They base all of this on differences in expectations, no travel, etc. But pretty much all can agree that there is literally no difference. We have be part of the initiatives and end up doing 5 or, if not, more work. Also, travel is requirements from project to project, and everyone needs to follow that regardless of talent model.
We are the cash cows, and they treat us as second class citizens!
True !
USDC model doesn’t have the cash balance plan which is the pension plan
PTO’s were again reduced back 6-7 years ago
Tuition reimbursement- need to do more digging
Agree on parental leave, sucks to see same team members where one can take time off and enjoy this joyful time and for other firm expects to come to work .. very dire situation
DU - Agree

Parental leave: we gets two week, traditional gets 6 months. We pay for short term disability they don’t; meaning it’s freely offered.
Traditional gets 16 weeks, not 6 months, of family leave. (4 months). Still a significant disparity though.
Quite not right :
Core gets 16 weeks Paternity or Maternity leave. Not sure, if USDC get Paternity Leave.
On the same note: Early on USDC also got the same maternity benefit. USDC later changed the rules and with the new contracts, you get less of a benefit.
Not sure, but if you were hired back in 2013, 2014 you still get the same benefits
What do you plan to do with this list? Bring it up to leadership or just create it?
There’s a meeting May 10th where you can communicate this.
