Hi fishes, My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

Big jump is being accountable for work you didn't directly produce. Master that and you're golden
Welcome, there is not a single "not my problem" for you anymore :)
But seriously, plan and thinks 2 steps ahead, anticipate reactions, etc., think what the client wants on a new level (what they actually want), delegate, learn to be comfortable with content you didn't produce, get MUCH better in communications, manage and build client relationships on a new level. Appreciate the team and lead by example - be happy :) you're the source of motivation now :)
Learn to delegate and feel comfortable making decisions. Also make sure to set expectations and lead by example.
Plan, plan, plan. You have to build in time to do your own work, review others efforts, managing bigger pieces along the way. I recommend standing times in your day where you isolate and just think about the next couple steps. As far as relationships... Think of each client you've interacted with, and just keep in touch! If being really outgoing isn't your thing, plan. Think of things they might be interested in, seek out articles or topics that can warm the connection up. Ask to pick their brain on something. Not every conversation needs to be a sales meeting. Just get out there and be authentic.
That made me cut back on my parting and philandering ways...at least in front of the analysts and consultants
Yeah, A2 said it well, basically just that. Some clients are very outgoing themselves and will constantly be reaching out to you and communicating. I was ok on client interaction, but not stellar at the beginning, but just learned my way in by planning how to approach them
People now look up to you because you represent the firm
ATK1- thanks! I'm actually in a constant state of anxiety now, ha. How do you suggest getting "much better" at communication - any specific areas to look out for? Also client relationships - I think that's something I'm weak at. I tend to stick close to my computer/be more heads down. A lot of managers I know appear outgoing / social but I'm not as much. Any tips there?
