Hilton’s loyalty program is terrible.

Marriott’s is fine (not as good as SPG was, but fine).

Hyatt’s is by far the best, but their property availability isn’t nearly as good unfortunately.

All of them have properties that suck. The portfolios are actually pretty comparable, I’d say — I’ve been in Park Hyatts that are every bit as nice as the nicest Ritz Carltons I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been in Four Points that were every bit as crappy as the worst Hyatt Place.

like

Neither, Hyatt. Next question

Bonvoy all the way. The lounges, the hotels, the offers. Change my mind

Marriott anytime any day.

like

Marriott.

Hilton generally has higher redemption especially in US cities. Marriott Titanium and Ambassador gets you United status. Lounge access is convenient, when available.

Hilton might beat Marriott in random points promotions.

Dynamic award pricing is trash in both programs though if you ask me.

I’m with Hilton but thinking of switching to Marriott.

I made the switch some years ago. No regrets

like

Hyatt hasn’t gone full dynamic pricing so the points are still worth something

From a financial standpoint in this market, which would be a better approach in Austin -

1. Buy a ~8-850k house that meets most of our ideal criteria (size, schools, interiors etc) to stay long term

2. Buy a ~5-550k house that’s not ideal with the plan of moving into an ideal home in 4-5 years when kid is ready for school.

How easy is it to get a mortgage for the second home?

Hi! I started at a new company 2 months ago and while I’m really enjoying my job so far, I’m having a hard time gauging whether or not I’m doing a “good job.” My role seems to be always evolving, which is fine and I actually enjoy being a support to the greater marketing team, but I feel like I need better defined targets to make sure I’m meeting expectations. Also, when I ask my boss what they’d like to see, I don’t ever get a clear answer. (Cont’d in comments)
