On the flip side, I came from Accenture and i didn’t feel like I was viewed as any less qualified than any other consulting firm when I exited to BizOps. For non-ex-MBB hiring managers, I feel as if they view Consulting as all the same bucket.

Yep agree with both above ^- find it equally hard on internal consulting (BizOps) type stuff

Ditto above points...MBB doesn’t mean much to tech hiring managers, especially on PM type roles. Might be different for internal consulting roles.
When you’re in an interview it doesn’t matter. Getting the interview is much easier (I used to be big 4)
I'm in F500 tech, but not Big Tech. We view all consultants as the same in my org, whether MBB or T0.
I’m at a big tech strategy team and I have tried to recruit from MBB. The biggest challenge honestly is compensation, we can’t really offer above current MBB comp, so they have to be willing to take a small pay cut in exchange for better work life balance

Prob easier to exit into tech/tech adjacent roles since you have more opportunities to build hard skills in B4 tech consulting.

*easier for B4 to exit into tech/tech adjacent roles compared to MBB
