Asking since LinkedIn profile of McK Consultant (not implementation) who went from Senior Analyst to Engagement manager is creating buzz that McK allows skip level promotion at my undergrad and I am getting questions (involved in alum stuff) of is this for real.

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. What is the environment like and has anyone been in a situation where the contract with TCS and the client ended and had trouble with TCS finding them a new role at the same pay?

1: EY - FDD, home city, very good $$ for FDD

2: PwC - post-merger integration, DDV team (essentially M&A Consulting) - bigger city, always been keen to move

Coming as a Senior in Audit, with recent FDD exposure (2 deals, obviously not much). I was looking for something more than just number crunching, wanting a mix of quant / quali / strategic work. M&A Advisory or a Corp Strategy role is where I'm looking to end up long term.
