Mega backdoor Roth because money in Roth is better than money in a brokerage account. This assumes you don’t need the money very soon.
Absolutely, 100% no brainer mega back door. You can always take it out if needed (highly not recommended). Mega backdoor is a privilege many would love to have but don’t
With mega backdoor it is almost 40k extra on top of your regular / Roth 401k contribution that you can put in Roth. Getting to the same amounts with regular backdoor or Roth IRA contribution would take several years.
Years that you would already be in the market... Time in the market. If you are part of the lucky few that have it, and can afford to use it, almost no brainer.
Mega BD all the way. Tax free growth is better than taxable growth!

Definitely mega backdoor. The rollover to MBD can be withdrawn after 5 years no penalty, so you retain decent liquidity + the benefit of no tax on dividends/gain.
Keep in mind the after tax basis is not subject to the 5 year holding. You have already paid taxes on that and it’s not considered a conversion.
Thank you everyone!
