Amex people thoughts on this offer, as I have recently(4 months back) joined a startup with Base(33) and CTC(35.5) but not enjoying the work here. Amex brand tag and culture is good.
Hence, considering the offer, does this offer look good or is there any scope of improvement? Amex American Express

I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

San Diego is amazing, you’ll love it! Where is your husbands job OP? I could give better recs based on that. A lot of families like north county (I mean it’s a hike from downtown but a lot of bigger companies are also located there) - Encinitas, Solana Beach, Carlsbad. If you are looking closer to downtown San Diego, agree that Bankers Hill is nice (but pricier), Bay Park (basically across the 5 from PB but more west of Clairemont) is cheaper but still close proximity to beach and the 5, Crown Point and Point Loma are also cute. Bird Rock area (between PB and La Jolla) is very nice, quiet and pretty as well.
Do you have kids? If so, any of the areas directly north of downtown are great (Hillcrest, North Park, etc.)... also good if you’re on a budget. If you aren’t, nothing beats the downtown condos and apartment buildings (Little Italy is better than East Village if you’re looking for quiet).
Kids coming soon!
Def not downtown then, good luck with that! You can also check out Bankers Hill if you’re feeling spendy. Liberty Station and Point Loma may also meet your criteria in some neighborhoods.
How’s Clairemont/Kearny Mesa?
Both will be quiet but can be a brutal commute to downtown. If he has a job up there, no worries.
If you are looking for a larger house, the best bang for your buck is out in Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Del Sur areas but it is much warmer out there. Clairemont/Kearny Mesa is convenient to lots of good food, but isn’t the nicest/safest areas. University City is also a nice area with good schools and convenience to parks, shopping, and restaurants as well
Great, thank you all so much for the help!
