McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

Haynes and Boone and it’s not even close. It’s in a whole separate league than the others.
Haynes & Boone and then the rest in no particular order
Rising Star
HayBoo, Winstead then the rest
For what practice area?
Haynes and Boones does too much ID to be at the top of list
HB doesn’t do any ID work. However, they do have a well regarded insurance recovery group. Insurance recovery lawyers sue insurance companies when they deny coverage. So quite the opposite of ID. An example would be suing an insurance company on behalf of a real estate investment company related to a deal that blew up and ins co didn’t cover the loss.
To answer your initial question, HB is in its own tier compared to the others you mentioned for Dallas litigation groups. Then I would put Winstead. After that, gray reed and Munsch. Winstead, GR, Munsch are lower middle market but are Texas based with many lawyers sitting in Dallas. Not that headcount is decisive but I’d rather practice at one of those than a tiny satellite with no culture like the rest you listed.
Why do they so much ID work then? Faegre, Fox, and Barnes are legit big law.
You have it backwards OP. Hayboo doesn't even rep insurance companies. If any firm on this meets your classification it's Feagre since their Dallas office was literally started with an ID team from Sedgewick and they still make up the majority of that office. None of these firms come close to Hayboo in any area, certainly not in terms of comp and quality
Litigation
I would say HayBoo, then Munsch, then BT and Winstead tied for third (like the USNR law school rankings), then the rest in no particular order (like the USNR law school rankings).
