My fiancé is stressed her hair dresser gave her too short of a haircut and now she won’t be able to curl her hair for the wedding in 2 months. She is really worried and concerned. I’ve told her she’s going to look beautiful regardless, but I don’t know what else to say to make her feel better. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can she get extensions?

like

I got clip ins and they were great. Very natural. No one could tell! order before hand, then get them styled with your own hair. I have highlights so I actually got those highlighted as well at the same time. Mine were Bellami

If she’s never worn extensions before I wouldn’t mess with them now, honestly. I would come up with a backup hairstyle that would work on shorter hair, just in case. And also, maybe do another trial run of the hairstyle she wants. If you use a smaller barrel curling iron it can get more of a curl in a shorter length

like

Ask if she wants advice or just venting support. She has been told her entire life that this is the day she is supposed to be the most beautiful for the rest of her life. It is a sadly huge amount of pressure. Do something to make her feel loved and valued and de-stressed. Just telling her she will be beautiful likely feels true to you but probably feels boilerplate to her.

She’ll be totally fine, 60 days is over an inch for most people

Do them in advance only bc it can be a time consuming process

I second the extensions advice

Agree on extensions. And came here to say how lovely it is that you’re seeking advice to comfort your fiancee in the best way ❤️

Not much you can do except what you’ve already done. Which is to reassure her that she’s beautiful.

She’s freaking out in part because it’s her mistake, that she either didn’t specify to her hair dresser how much she wanted taken off, or she forgot she wanted to curl it. So she needs some time to adjust to that. And to find another style she likes.

You sound like a great guy. Suggest she take a supplement like nature's own gummies for hair, nails. It may help her hair grow a bit faster. I second extensions. My daughter did them
For her wedding. .

My stepmom threw me a very elaborate bridal shower. My stepsister pitched in and also did a lot of work for it. Bridesmaids helped but didn’t do a ton. What, if anything should I do for my stepmom and stepsister as a showing of gratitude? I don’t want to spend a lot of $$ but definitely want to act quickly and thoughtfully.
