At least you were cc’ed! I’m frequently catching lawyers who are sending things directly to my business clients (we’re a massive company so theres no excuse for thinking there’s no in-house counsel), the lower level ones who don’t realize they’re supposed to loop me in the second another attorney tries to talk to them.

So the lawyer can’t bottleneck the deal. If lawyer on other side is a secret deal-killer i want to be sure they are directly accountable to their businessperson
